Research projects with international partnership
PPGEEs has maintained partnerships in the development of projects with international partners and expanded cooperation.
Development of projects with international funding:
- Optimization of Initial Communication in Children with Autism - Partner institution: University of Massachusetts Medical School – UMMS/USA - Project of the National Institute of Science and Technology on Behavior, Cognition and Teaching (ECCE). Deisy de Souza Coordinator and Lidia M. Marson Postalli (PPGEEs UFSCar) and other national and international members.
Implementation of research projects with international teams:
- Evaluation of narratives in Libras for deaf students in Basic Education: application, analysis and pedagogical implications, funded by CNPq (Proc. 405337/2023-0) and, in 2024, by FAPESP, coordinated by Professor Cristina Broglia de Lacerda with the participation of Professor Maria Josep Jarque (University of Barcelona) and Ana Paula Zerbato (USP and PPGEEs graduate).
- Evaluation of a computerized program for teaching reading and writing to students with intellectual disabilities, coordinated by Professor Lidia Postalli and with the participation of Professor Deisy G. de Souza (PPGEEs) and Professor Maria Manuela P. S. F. Ferreira, at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, in Portugal;
- Development of translated and validated versions of the Family Impact of Assistive Technology Scale for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (FIATS-AAC), coordinated by Professor Gerusa Lourenço, in partnership with Professor Stephen E. Ryan (University of Toronto and researchers from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital) who developed the scale, and the Psychosocial Impact of Assistive Devices Scale, developed by the team of Professor Jeffrey W. Jutai, from the University of Ottawa;
- Linguistic-educational development of deaf children: assessment strategies in sign language, coordinated by Professor Vanessa Martins, with the collaboration of Professor Lara Santos (PPGEES) and Leonardo Peluso (Udelar/Montevideo/Uruguay) and Cristina Gil (Polytechnic Institute of Sétubal-Portugal/Lisbon), as well as researchers from other Brazilian universities: UFSC; UNICAMP; UFES; UFSJ; UNIOESTE/PR. Participation in research projects abroad:
- Initial teacher training for inclusive education: Brazil, Spain and the case of the University of Salamanca, developed by Professor Enicéia G. Mendes in partnership with Professor José María Hernadez (University of Salamanca).
- Professor Cristina Lacerda (PPGEEs) participates in the project Support Systems for Teacher Decision-Making (SSD) and the Development of Linguistic Competence (Speaking and Listening)? (EDU2015-63616-P)”, coordinated by professor Marta Grácia Garcia (Universitat de Barcelona - UB) and with the researchers: Carles Riba (UB), Sonia Jarque (UB), Laura Amado (UAO-CEU), Gemma Santa Olalla (Universidad de Burgos), María Josep Jarque (UB), Fàtima Vega (UB), Camila Domeniconi (UFSCar), Josep Casanovas (UPC, InLab), Maria Ribera Sánchez (UPC, InLab), Jordi Casanovas (UPC, InLab), Marta Cuatrecasas (UPC, InLab), Carla Diví (UPC, InLab).
