Subject Profile: Area of concentration

Syllabus: To analyze and discuss the development of Special Education services in Brazil, with an emphasis on school education and current public policies. Identify the specificities, needs and potential of people with special educational needs, conduct and high skills, with a view to educational action Critically reflect on ethical-political-educational issues of the educator's action, with a view to integration with people with disabilities special needs. Discuss post-1970 public policies. The discourses of social integration and the mediation of the school institution: contributions and challenges of experience in different areas of disability.
