Syllabus: The intensive use of naturalistic observation, in acting and in research in special education and in psychology, informs about the relevance of familiarity and mastery of observational methods and techniques in the training of researchers in both areas. The discipline aims to provide students with the necessary repertoires to employ methods and recording techniques and the analysis of data from naturalistic and systematic observation of human behavior, as well as to define criteria for reliability, validity and relevance of data and analysis in the behavioral approach.
