International technical visits and participation of teachers in international events

The international technical visits were carried out by four PPGEEs professors: Through Print-Capes, Prof. Lídia Postalli carried out an institutional mission at the University of Porto, Polytechnic Institute of Porto and the University of Minho (Oct/2024); Prof. Vanessa Martins at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS) in Portugal (period: April 6 to 26, 2024) and at the University of Barcelona, ​​Spain (April 6 to 26, 2023); Prof. Cristina Lacerda at the University of Barcelona (September 4 to October 4, 2022); Prof. Enicéia Mendes at the University of Salamanca, Faculty of Education (June 24 to June 28, 2024) and at the University of Barcelona (June 18 to June 24, 2024).

In June 2024, Professor Enicéia Mendes held meetings with partners in international cooperation agreements from Italy, Prof. Lucia Deanna (University of Rome), France, Prof. Serge Ebersold (Conservatoire des Arts et Metiers – Paris), and Charles Gardou, (University of Lyon) with a view to future projects and agreements. In July 2023, she was in France and met in Strasbourg (France) with French researcher Serge Ebersold, holder of the Accessibility Chair at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), in Paris (France), where he is head of the research department and member of the Research Unit Sociétés, Acteurs, Gouvernement en Europe, at the University of Strasbourg. At the meeting, she conducted an interview with Prof. Serge, which gave rise to the article Accessibility, inclusion and the reinvention of schools published on 08/06/2024, in Inep's Open Magazine (https://emaberto.inep.gov.br/ojs3/index.php/emaberto/article/view/5898/4446). In July 2022, she visited the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (Porto, Portugal) to participate in Porto ICRE’22, which is organized by the Center for Research and Innovation in Education (inED) of the Porto School of Education, with the presentation of the work “Multidimensional Assessment of School Inclusion Policy in the Context of a Brazilian Municipality”. In November 2022, she participated in the 14th IBERO-AMERICAN CONGRESS ON EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION WITH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES (CIIEE, 22), at the National University of Technology (Buenos Aires, Argentina), with 4 doctoral students (Jessica Rodrigues, Luciana Guimarães, Juliane Costa and Mariana M. Lopes). All students presented papers, and Professor Enicéia Mendes presented two oral communications (El perfil de La judicialización de la educación especial en Brasil; and Mitigación de los impacts of the pandemic in the school context through a training program on Collaborative work in a Brazilian city). She also participated in the III International Congress of Social Sciences and Humanities Brazil 1824-2024: between centralism and decentralization, at the University of Salamanca - III CICSH, from June 26 to 28, 2024, coordinating the round table on “The challenges of decentralizing the national policy of special education from the perspective of inclusive education in Brazil” and presented the book “Innovative inclusive practices in the context of the common class: from specialisms to universalist approaches”.

Professor Cristina Lacerda participated in the X International Congress of Language Acquisition - AEAL 2022, from September 7 to 9, in Girona (Spain), presenting the following scientific papers: Illustrated version of the Instrument for evaluating narratives in language of signs: adaptation for use in the Brazilian school context. Aline L. Baggio Montes and Cristina B. Feitosa de Lacerda. Development and evaluation of narrative competence in the Catalan sign language (LSC). Maria Josep Jarque, Cristina Lacerda, Pepita Cedillo and Mari Serrano.

Professor Deisy das Graças de Souza received the Distinguished Service to Behavior Analysis award from the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA), in May 2022, Boston, United States. She was a member of the Executive Board of the International Society (Association for Behavior Analysis International - ABAI 2020-2023) and of the organizing committee of the 11th International Conference of ABAI (Dublin, Ireland; 2022). She was highlighted for being a speaker at the Plenary at the ACBS (Association for Contextual Behavior Science) Word Conference - Buenos Aires (Argentina), from 25 to July 28, 2024, conference title: Behavioral science and technology to address deficits in symbolic behavior: with an emphasis on reading and writing. In the four-year period, he presented 17 papers at international events, in which we highlight the work in partnership with Professor Lídia Postalli (PPGEEs): Marcelo Salvador Caetano, Raquel Melo Golfeto, Lidia Maria Marson Postalli, Elenice Seixas Hanna; Deisy das Graças de Souza. Application of a Computerized Curriculum for Individualized Teaching on a Large Scale: Learning to Read and Write in Small Steps. Panel Presentation at the 50th Annual Convention of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), May/2024 - Philadelphia (USA).

Regarding the participation of master's and doctoral committees, Professor Crsitina Lacerda participated in two doctoral qualification committees at the University of Barcelona, ​​the first on July 2, 2024, by candidate Giannina Urrello, whose advisor was Professor Marta Grácia, and the second on February 27, 2024, by Fátima Byara Martínez Denis, whose advisor was Maria Josep Jarque. Professor Ketilin Pedro participated in three master's defense committees at the University of La Empresa, in Uruguay, in 2023. The first, on April 27, by candidate Alexandra Alves Wanderley, the second on May 16, by Salete Alves de Oliveira, and the third on July 12, by Adriana Guiomar de França Prá. Professor Leonardo Cabral is a member of the international institutional evaluation team of the World Reputation Rankings - THE World Universities Insights Ltd (London), which provides a list of the best universities in the world, with an emphasis on research mission and encompassing the main areas of university activity: research, impact and teaching. In addition to the work mentioned above, several faculty members and students have presented papers at international scientific events.
