International and national event (with foreign speakers)

In 2019, the PPGEEs had the participation of professors, students and graduates in the participation and presentation of works at international events. In all, there were 33 events, 16 of which were held in Brazil, 2 (two) in the United States; 9 (nine) in European countries (Spain; Portugal; Sweden, Croatia); 1 (one) in Mozambique; 2 (two) in Argentina; 1 (one) in Panama, and 1 (one) in Uruguay. Among the international events, the participation of PPGEEs stands out:

  1. VIII Brazilian Congress of Alternative Communication: partners in dialogue in diversity, held from December 4th to 7th, 2019 in Campinas-SP, Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and at the Syndrome Foundation Down (Campinas), with support from ISAAC International.
  2. International Seminar: Educational Assistance in Hospital and Home Environment, held on August 27 and 28, 2019 at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul - UFMS.
  3. VII International Seminar on Social Skills: Social Skills in various contexts of professional performance, held from November 5 to 7, 2019 at the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), São Luís.
  4. 15th International Seminar Lahmiei e Abacare, held from February 15th to 16th, 2019 in the city of Ribeirão Preto-SP.;
  5. International Colloquium on Special Education and School Inclusion, held from June 25 to 27, 2019 at the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC, Florianópolis-SC;
  6. XIV National Congress of Education – EDUCERE; V International Seminar on Social Representations, Subjectivity and Education – SIRSSE; VII International Seminar on Teacher Professionalization (SIPD/UNESCO CHAIR), held from September 16 to 19, 2019, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná - PUCPR, Curitiba-Pr;
  7. 1st International Congress of Cerebral Palsy from Evidence to Practice took place from August 22 to 24, 2019 in Campinas, SP;
  8. XIV Ibero-American Education Meeting - EIDE, held from November 20 to 23, 2019 at UNESP - Faculty of Sciences and Letters - Araraquara Campus, SP.
  9. IV International Colloquium of Clinical Activity (CICA), held from November 11 to 13, 2019 at Universidade São Francisco (USF) in Bragança Paulista-SP, with the participation of Professor Cristina Lacerda.
  10. 20th Symposium on Adapted Physical Activities - People with Disabilities and Physical-Sports and Leisure Activities: Law, Empowerment and Full Participation that took place from August 28 to 31 at Sesc São Carlos-SP;
  11. XI Brazilian Congress of Adapted Motor Activity (CBAMA), held between November 13 and 15, 2019, at the Federal University of Alagoas - UFAL, city of Maceió/AL.

 

Organization of events with the participation of international researchers

 

In 2019, we highlight two events with scientific impact due to the exchange established between national and international research institutions:

 

  1. The first event entitled “The School of Advanced Studies Children and Adolescents at Risk: Ethical Dimensions, Intervention and Scientific Innovation” had as main objective to disseminate cutting-edge scientific knowledge about the impact of experiences of adversity and neglect on human development, as well as discuss intervention possibilities, keeping a close eye on the ethical issues involved. Two cycles of activities of the Escola de Alto Estudos were carried out together with the PPGEEs and PPGPsi of UFSCar, namely: the first cycle took place between May 20 and May 23, 2019 and was attended by Dr Linda Liebenberg (Dalhousie University / Halifax/Canada) who gave the Conference “Resilience and its role in mental health promotion”, and the subjects “Using mixed methods to understand interactive processes associated with cognitive processes”, and, “Visual methods: What they are and what they can contribute to our studies of people's meaning making frameworks”. The second cycle of activities took place between December 1st and December 3rd, 2019 and was attended by Dr. Ilina Singh (University of Oxford) who taught the conference “Digital Tools in Mental Health: Social and Ethical Considerations” and the course “Ethics of Psychiatric Genomic Research in Low and Middle-Income Countries”.
  2. The second event entitled “3rd High Skills Seminar. "Training, Service and Public Policies" and organized by Professor Rosemeire de Araújo Rangni aimed to contribute to the discussion and debate of the topic among academics and educators. The event took place on November 7 and 8, 2019. following international researchers: Julian Betancourt Morejón (Coordinator of the Educational Center for High Capacities - CEPAC – Guadalajara – Mexico), Cristianne Butto Zarzar (Universidad Pedagogica Nacional - Mexico), and Prof. Dr. Maria de África Borges Del Rosal (ULL – Tenerife – Spain).
